Each Year through Grants and Scholarships
Professional Development Scholarship
Applications for 2023-2024 Professional Development Scholarships may be submitted at any time between May 15, 2023 and May 15, 2024.
Current individual (not organizational) members of the NAI Great Lakes Region are invited to apply for up to $150 in scholarship money to use toward a certification, conference registration (other than a NAI national or regional conference), or other professional development opportunity to be completed or attended between July 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024.
There is a total of $150 for professional development scholarships available for the 2023-2024 fiscal year. Scholarships may be awarded to multiple people, until the $150 cap for the year is reached. Therefore, applications requesting/accepting amounts of under $150 are more likely to receive support.
Scholarship funds function as a reimbursement. Recipients must provide proof that they successfully completed the certification or attended the conference or professional development opportunity during the 2023-2024 fiscal year before funds will be distributed. Within 30 days of fund distribution, recipients are required to submit a short report (2 to 3 paragraphs) explaining what the funds were used for and how the certification, conference, or training benefited them.
